Lisa Rodenburg obtained her bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences at Utrecht University. During her master Selective Utrecht Medical Master (SUMMA) she was trained to become a medical doctor. This master trains students with a biomedical background towards medical doctor, with extra focus on research. During her studies she developed an interest in translational research and she aims to bring laboratory inventions towards patients. In her research in the group of Jeffrey Beekman she works with patient-derived airway organoids and tries to find new therapeutic options for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. Besides her work she enjoys doing sports, such as athletics and cycling.
